An Ode to Words
I have loved words from the moment I could read and speak them.
As a child I adored writing my own little stories - about dinosaurs that lived in volcanic lands and girls that went on adventures to magical places- and I pored over books like they were treasure.
I would fill notebooks with my musings and tales of fictional wonderlands: creating characters and personalities that I wished were my own.
I read the dictionary and thesaurus for fun, to learn as many beautiful words as I possibly could to quench my never ending thirst for knowledge.
As an adult I collect beautiful books that move me to tears and heal parts of my soul. Some of the books on my shelves are yet to be read but I cherish them just the same as the ones that are tatty and well-loved.
