Some moments of joy from my first week in New Zealand.

Fairy house at the Botanic Gardens in Wellington; I love anything fairy related and I can just imagine them living in a cute little house like this in a magical forest.
Gorgeous vegan French toast from Midnight Espresso Cafe in Wellington (it’s basically just fancy eggy bread isn’t it? Still amazing though).
Seeing my friends after 8 months! They moved from my home town to NZ last year and reuniting with them was like no time had passed at all (the best kind of friendships).

I don’t enjoy flying but the peace I feel when I am above the clouds is joyful.
Cute little beach sign made of driftwood.
Is there anything cosier than watching a fire burn?

I found this vegan chocolate wafer bar at the airport and OMG life changing. So delicious. 10/10 would recommend.
Found this beautiful headscarf in my Mum’s wardrobe and although I had to take it off after about 20 minutes (sensory issues) I felt cute.
Freya! My Mum’s husky x collie puppy.

Chai latte to warm me up after a chilly walk.
Watching the Wellington cable car come up the hill and getting the perfect shot with the city in the background.
Free vegan salad from a cafe we went to. Free food makes everyone feel joy, right?

One of my most joyful moments was this plant filled greenhouse at the Botanic Gardens we visited in Wellington. Just look at those colours!! Nature is something that brings me such happiness, peace and JOY.
Fun fact: There are patterns that can only be found in nature called ‘fractal patterns’ and they have been scientifically proven to lower cortisol (stress) levels. How cool!
