Welcome to another end-of-the-week check in where I share the things that brought me joy this week.
No vlog this week so thought I’d share some pics instead:

Joy List:
Currently Watching:
I shared on my social media that I’m currently reading On Earth We Are Briefly Gorgeous and someone said they love the sound of the authors voice. So naturally, I had to look him up and I came across this beautiful reading he did of a poem:
I must say, I agree, he has a lovely voice: so soft and tender and lyrical and I know I will have it echoing in my mind as I continue to read his novel.
Currently reading:
Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield
Sapphic, literary, horror told in a fever dream haze. This is a story of love, grief, loss and the terrifying unknown of the deep sea.
I felt this book was sort of teetering on the verge of being really fantastic and creepy. Constantly teasing at something truly horrific and terrifying but never quite manifesting. This in itself made the book eerie and very readable even though the ending is left open to interpretation a little.
Overall I thought this was a very intriguing book that tugs at your heart strings and makes you never want to step foot in the sea ever again.
Currently listening to:
I haven’t actually got anything on the go at the moment. But I’m thinking my next audiobook will either be The Pairing by Casey McQuinton or Sorry, Bro by Taleen Voskuni, both of which are queer novels.
Have you read either of these?

Outfit of the week:
I love these shorts that I found on vinted for £6 despite Jake saying I look like a dad ready to BBQ.
