Welcome to Georgia Writes.

Hi, I’m Georgia Holliday, writer, English Lit & Creative Writing student, wife, dog mum, content creator and obsessive reader. I also have ADHD, fibromyalgia and I am autistic.

What can you expect from Georgia Writes?

I have had an immense passion for both reading and writing from an early age and find it a therapeutic way of expressing myself, my beliefs, world-views and processing the inner workings of my busy neurodivergent brain. I care deeply about a lot of topics and I plan to explore them in my writing here. You can expect to read a variety of work (across a range of mediums: poetry, articles, vlogs, journal entries, newsletters etc.) discussing themes of neurodivergence, books, chronic illness, social media and the general messiness of life.

How is Georgia Writes different from my social media?

Although, I’ve recently grown a large(ish) audience (70k+ across platforms), for a while I have been feeling the pull to step away from social media (or at least not spend as much time there). I have found although I adore writing, sharing my experience and educating others, I find the culture of social media to be, generally, detrimental for my mental health. Georgia Writes will not only allow me to continue being open with my work but also be more vulnerable in a safe space. Here I will share more intimate writings and go deeper in what I share.

EDIT: I have recently stepped away from social media and am instead focusing my creativity into my Substack. You can read my post below (with an accompanying vlog) to learn more.

By choosing to become a paid subscriber you are not only supporting my work as a creator and my future endeavours as a writer but also directly supporting me, a disabled human trying to navigate a world not made to accommodate me. If you sign up, I’m sending you my deepest gratitude (and a virtual squeeze) for investing in me and my work. I truly hope you enjoy what I share here as much as I enjoy sharing it. If you are unable to commit to a paid subscription right now, (no hard feelings!) sharing with your friends or to your socials is equally as meaningful.

sunshine, woodland walks & reading are some of my fave things
